By BKS Iyengar
Your yoga practice can bring insight and a sense of well-being that extend off the mat and into your life.
This book conveys Mr. Iyengar's discoveries from a lifetime of intensive yoga practice and teaching. Using humor, stories from his own life and examples from modern culture to illustrate the profound gifts that yoga offers, he addresses the goal of aligning the different aspects of the self. The book clearly investigates the role that yoga postures and breathing techniques play in our search for wholeness and the external and internal obstacles that keep us from progressing along the path.
Mr. Iyengar writes about the inner-workings of yoga, and does so in an accessible style.
Find out how yoga can help us live in harmony with the world around us.
Our next reading will focus on Chapter 6 -- through page 200.
Copies of the book will be available at Evergreen Yoga Center, online at amazon.com and at local bookstores.
Saturday, July 31, 4:30 to 6pm (no charge)
