| Introductory For students who are new to alignment-based yoga, including those who may have some experience with other forms of yoga. Students build confidence in the standing poses and learn basic yoga concepts including active relaxation. The correct use of yoga props (blocks, belts, blankets, bolsters) is introduced to help students get the most from their practice. View schedule |
| Level 1 Standing poses are emphasized and basic inverted poses are introduced. Emphasis is on building confidence and steadiness in the poses. Students will explore the mechanics of forward bending and back extension and will learn additional skills to aid relaxation. Most students can expect to repeat the Level 1 series before moving to Level 2. View schedule |
| Level 2 For students who have practiced alignment-based yoga for at least six months. We will continue forward with standing poses, forward bending, back extension and shoulderstand (sarvangasana). Headstand (sirsasana) is introduced as well as restorative practices. Students need to have had a very consistent alignment-based practice in order to attend Level 2 classes and higher. For Women
If you are pregnant: Yoga can help you and your baby have a happier and healthier pregnancy. It is particularly important to take special care in your yoga practice. Please be sure to discuss your pregnancy with your teacher from the very beginning. And plan to attend the Prenatal Series of Classes.
When you are menstruating: This is a great time to practice yoga! Some poses will be better for you than others, and there are several recommended poses to help you feel better. Likewise, it is suggested that you avoid inversions and abdominal poses when you are having your period. Let the teacher know so she can help you make healthy choices for your practice.![]()
The Prenatal classes will not meet during the following summer break: August 20 - September 8

You may start the classes once you are 11 weeks along. Most prenatal yoga students participate in the classes right up until baby's due date.
You do not have to sign up for the 8-week series. You may attend this class on a drop-in basis. Drop-in classes are $15 each. Contact us at least one day before the class so we know you are coming. You can email Laura at or call 901-726-1115.

Come anytime between 7 & 7:45. The studio will be open until 8:30am.
Those who want to do a sitting meditation practice can sit in the massage room.
Guidelines for participating:
