During Pregnancy:

Prenatal Yoga Classes

Thursday Evening Series: Thursdays 6-7:15pm
Our Prenatal Yoga Classes will take you through the various stages of pregnancy and keep you in touch with your changing body. We will practice poses that soothe the nerves, address discomforts common to pregnancy, and prepare you for delivery.

Longtime prenatal yoga teacher Laura Allen teaches this popular class. No previous yoga experience needed. You may start the classes at any time after 11 weeks gestation.  Most women come to classes right up until baby's due date.

It is recommended that you register for a series of classes, but if that’s not possible you are welcome to attend classes on a drop-in basis as your schedule allows.  If there is room in the class you may start in the middle of an 8-week series.

Arrive 10-15 minutes early for your first prenatal yoga class. Each class starts on time at 6pm.  Changing rooms available.  Wear comfortable clothing that enables ease of movement.  Bring your own yoga mat, or use one of ours.

  • 8-week series:  January 5 - February 23
  • $96 for 8-week series (a total of 8 classes). Or $15 per-class if you come on a drop-in basis.

If you have any questions, contact Laura at or call 901-726-1115.

Prenatal Massage with Lorrie Garcia, LMT

Prenatal massage is a completely safe, natural, drug-free method of relieving the aches and pains of pregnancy. It can be experienced during all three trimesters. In the 2nd and 3rd trimesters, you will be supported by special bolsters placed for your comfort.  Massage during pregnancy helps reduce swelling, eases sore muscles, promotes release of emotional & physical tension, & alleviates stress on the joints.
  • $70 for 60-minute massage treatment. $95 for 90-minute massage treatment.
Lorrie Garcia, LMT, is one of the few prenatal massage therapists in the Memphis area.  To make an appointment, contact Lorrie at 901-496-2881.

Postnatal Yoga class for new moms

We recommend Laura Allen's 3pm Sunday class for new moms.

Laura's prenatal yoga class is very popular, and we encourage women to return to yoga practice 6 weeks after vaginal delivery.

While these yoga classes are not limited to new moms, the environment is friendly and supportive -- the perfect place to get in touch with your body after you have your baby.

  • Strengthen your pelvic floor, abdominal and back muscles
  • Help bring your abdominal organs back into their correct position
  • Soothe sore neck and shoulder muscles
  • Manage the fatigue of new parenthood
  • Balance your hormonal system to reduce mood swings and postpartum depression

Sunday afternoons @ 3pm. This is a vigorous class.

If you'd like to ease back into your yoga practice post-delivery, contact for additional class possibilities.

Preconception Workshop

Next class: TBA

If you or someone you know is trying to conceive, this yoga workshop is for you.

This workshop class will introduce a yoga practice designed to enhance fertility and aid conception.  We will practice restorative poses that teach the mind, body and spirit to relax.

Practiced regularly, this yoga can relieve stresses associated with trying to become pregnant.

A restorative yoga practice aimed at enhancing fertility should include poses to soften the abdominal area, remove tension from around the reproductive organs, and calm the mind.
